Shannon Scott (she/they) came to freelance editing by way of a 12-year career spent in military technical editing. After earning her Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington-Seattle, she opened the doors to Sage Editing. Obsessed with getting in on the ground floor of story creation, Shannon is a fiction developmental editor specializing in LGBTQIA+ romance and military, police, and espionage thrillers.
She has an equal obsession with good writing, and longs to help writers improve their craft through fiction writing coaching, fiction manuscript evaluations, and nonfiction line-editing and copyediting. Four dogs make sure she doesn’t merge with her desk chair. Lavender incense and a nice cocktail of medications keep her demons at bay. Shannon lives with several neurodivergent diagnoses and is a VERY vocal advocate of mental health support and awareness.
